Class 4 Restricted Questions
How old do I have to be?
To qualify for a Class 4 Restricted licence, you must meet the following requirements:
Be at least 19 years old
Hold (or have previously held) a full Class 5 or Class 6 licence (or equivalent)
Have fewer than 4 penalty points during the past two years
Have no Criminal Code driving convictions within the last three years
Have no outstanding ICBC fines or debts
Pass the required commercial driver's medical examination
Do I need a medical?
Yes. A medical assessment may be required as part of the Class 4 licensing process. ICBC will advise you of any medical requirements based on your application.l examination before issuing a Class 4 licence.

How long is the road test?
For the Class 4 Restricted road test, the pre-trip inspection typically takes about 15 minutes, followed by the driving assessment. Actual test times may vary depending on the testing location and traffic conditions.
