What Is a Class 4 Unrestricted Licence?
A Class 4 Unrestricted licence in British Columbia allows you to operate passenger vehicles carrying up to 25 people, including:

Any Class 5 vehicle
Who Needs It
This licence is required for professional drivers transporting groups of passengers or operating specialized commercial passenger vehicles.
Eligibility Requirements
Minimum age: 19
Hold a full Class 5 or Class 6 licence with at least 2 years of driving experience
Fewer than 4 penalty points
No Criminal Code driving convictions during the previous 3 years
Pass the required commercial medical examination
No outstanding ICBC fines or debts

Do I need a separate knowledge test?
Yes. Class 4 Unrestricted applicants must complete the applicable ICBC knowledge test and meet all licensing requirements before taking the road test.
Can I drive a school bus with this licence?
Yes. You can legally drive school buses with a maximum seating capacity of 25 passengers.
Do I need an air-brake endorsement?
An air-brake endorsement is only required if the vehicle you operate is equipped with air brakes. Additional testing and training may be required to obtain the endorsement.
