FAQ

Class 4 Questions

How long is the Class 4 road test?

The Class 4 road test includes both a pre-trip inspection and a driving assessment. For the Class 4 Restricted licence, the pre-trip inspection typically takes about 15 minutes. For the Class 4 Unrestricted licence, the pre-trip inspection usually takes about 20 minutes, followed by approximately 40 minutes of driving. Actual test times may vary depending on traffic conditions and the testing location.

What's the difference between Class 4 Restricted and Class 4 Unrestricted license?

A Class 4 Restricted licence is commonly used for ride hailing services, taxis, limousines, ambulances, and other passenger transportation services. A Class 4 Unrestricted licence allows drivers to operate a wider range of passenger vehicles and may be required for certain commercial passenger transportation roles. Choosing the right licence depends on your career goals and the type of vehicle you plan to operate.

How many lessons do I need to prepare for the Class 4 test?

The number of lessons depends on your driving experience, confidence level, and familiarity with Class 4 requirements. Some students only need a few lessons to refine their skills, while others benefit from more comprehensive training. Our available training packages are designed to provide flexible options for different experience levels and preparation needs.

What jobs can I get with a Class 4 licence?

A Class 4 Restricted licence can be used for ride-hailing services, taxi driving, limousine services, ambulance operation, and other passenger transportation roles. A Class 4 Unrestricted licence may qualify drivers for additional passenger transportation opportunities that require operation of larger passenger vehicles.
